Please read the enrolment pack documentation carefully, as it includes the practical skills that form part of the assessment. You will also find a list of tools and test instruments that you must bring to the assessment with you.

Please allow 2-4 weeks for pre-course study using the materials provided. These cover:

  • Men systems and Earthing Circuit Protection and Cable selection.
  • Cables and Wire ways
  • Motors and Motor Starters
  • Testing to ensure safety

Completion of the pre-course study is mandatory, otherwise it will very difficult to complete the block course requirements. Failure to complete the pre-course study will not, of itself, be a good enough reason to request transfer to a later block course. For overseas qualifications additional study may also be required, based on an evaluation of candidate need. This may incur an additional cost.

The course assumes you already have some basic skills in electrical wiring, termination and installation practices. If you are unsure of your ablities after reading the required skills list, please discuss these with E-tec staff prior to enrolling in the course.

This is a two week block course.
