At E-tec, we are closely monitoring the evolving coronavirus situation and its impact on our learners. Our top priority, as always, is the health and safety of our staff and students, which is why we are putting robust management plans in place across the delivery of all our courses.
Given that the spread of the virus and its impact is constantly evolving, we will be revisiting our policies regularly and adjusting as required. Rest assured; we will keep you updated with any new developments. Here’s what you need to know today:
Are classes still running?
Yes. Classes will continue to run while it is still safe to do so, but with processes in place to help reduce risk.
Across all workplaces and classrooms in New Zealand, the spread of the virus and its impact is constantly evolving. What that means is that we are unable to make any guarantees about courses running in the future.
Should you come to class?
If you have entered the country in the last 14 days, you must not come to class. The Government has strict rules around self-isolation. Ignoring these rules puts others at risk and you may face harsh legal consequences such as deportation.
If you are feeling unwell, or showing potential symptoms of coronavirus such as coughing, having a temperature and shortness of breath, please remain at home and do not come into class. If you have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please do not come into class.
If for some reason you can’t come to class, that’s OK. Just get in touch with us via firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll work with you to reschedule your training.
What happens if a course is cancelled?
If a course is cancelled as a result of coronavirus, we will let you know immediately and get in touch to reschedule your training. We understand this may be inconvenient for some people, however we believe it is our duty to prioritise your health and safety above all else.
Doing right by our clients
We have updated our policy allowing trainees and businesses to reschedule their training with us for up to six months at no extra cost. Whether you’re sick, in self-isolation, can’t get away from work due to understaffing, or are just plain nervous – we do understand.
